TUNER FEST TENNESSEE
We had a blast in Memphis before the raceway shut down, prompting us to search for a new home in Tennessee. That's when we stumbled upon Clarksville Speedway, known for its vibrant drift scene and talented local drivers. After securing the location and launching the event, we were overwhelmed by the support from the community. Now, let's roll up our sleeves and dive into the nitty-gritty of organizing this event!
Clarksville, Tennessee is a vibrant military town that is rapidly growing and evolving. The real estate market is booming, making it an attractive destination for families looking to settle down. In anticipation of the upcoming event, we decided to embark on a journey to Clarksville, immersing ourselves in the local atmosphere and personally connecting with the individuals who were instrumental in promoting the event. 
For a delightful weekend a few months prior to the show, we secured a stunning Airbnb right in the heart of downtown Clarksville. The downtown area reminded me of the charming streets of Geneva, IL, but with the added allure of Elgin, IL's downtown area, complete with its unique topography and close proximity to a picturesque river.
On our initial evening, we decided to explore the popular gathering spot for car enthusiasts, which happened to be a 711. It was there that we had the pleasure of meeting Scotty and Tatiana face-to-face. Tatiana, the organizer of the car meets at 711, and Scotty, a multi-talented individual involved with the local track, businesses, photography, and of course, cars. Scotty graciously took on the role of being my unofficial guide throughout the weekend of car shows. It was at this very spot that we also crossed paths with Curtis, another local car enthusiast who had a deep passion for music. Curtis played a crucial role in curating the music lineup for me and was responsible for managing and organizing the side stage for the event. It's amazing how many people we had the chance to meet on that very first night in town.
I woke up bright and early the next day, eager to explore downtown. I wanted to see what was open, what was nearby, and most importantly, where I could grab some delicious meals throughout the day. I started off with a cup of coffee to kickstart my morning and then stumbled upon a bustling farmers market just a short walk away. Food trucks, vendors, and even a local radio station doing a live broadcast caught my attention. I couldn't resist approaching the radio station to inquire about promoting my event. The sales lady I spoke to was incredibly friendly, and after exchanging emails, the details were all set. The thought of having our event advertised on the radio had me over the moon with excitement. It was a first for us to have a commercial on the radio, and I couldn't wait to see how it would turn out.
After a fantastic trip coming to an end, it was time to return to Illinois and dive back into work from the comfort of home. Scotty, my go-to guy in the area, connected me with a couple of local wrap shops that ended up sponsoring Tuner Fest Tennessee. Cwraps & Wrap Solutions took the spotlight as presenting sponsors, showcasing some impressive cars. Cwraps displayed a stunning gold Tesla and a Corvette inspired by Lightning McQueen from Cars. The kids had a blast with the Corvette, and it was truly amazing to witness their excitement. 
And now, let's talk about the car show. This part of the event took place right on the drag strip, adding an extra level of excitement. Clarksville truly delivered with an impressive variety of vehicles that were registered for the show. From sleek lowriders to powerful muscle cars and stylish tuners, the entire length of the drag strip was adorned with these magnificent automobiles. What made this experience even more thrilling was the opportunity to walk on the drag strip itself and feel the incredible stickiness that defines it. It was a unique and unforgettable experience that I highly recommend everyone to try.
After everything started falling into place, we redirected our attention towards the music. Joining us on our journey to Tennessee would be our talented sound team, Scout Sound, hailing all the way from Illinois. The lineup for the main stage was absolutely incredible, featuring a mix of local talents and rising stars like Finderz Keeperz and Souljunk. Additionally, we had a second sound stage near the drift track, creating a laid-back atmosphere where people could enjoy some music while staying cool in the shade.
Time to shift our focus back to the highlight of this event - the drifting. As previously stated, the drift scene in Clarksville is truly remarkable. This event made history with the overwhelming number of drivers who signed up. It was a record setting event with the number of drivers that registered. From the height of heat during the day till the cooling breathe of night, they were out there drifting tirelessly. We were in awe watching them dominate the track. Huge shoutout to Clarksville, TN!
